Sometimes after a BYD software update, your car’s navigation system might lose its GPS signal and might show that you are in completly different place, or even seem to go off the map entirely. This usually comes from a small software bug and you can often fix it by just resetting the car’s screen or clearing its memory. The best and most common way to fix map problems after an update is to completely restart the screen. Make sure that you are in open space for satellites to acquire your position, this might take couple of minutes.
To do this, press and hold the round volume knob on your center console for about 10 to 15 seconds. Wait until the screen goes completely black and then shows the BYD logo as it turns back on. After it restarts in open area GPS will locate your position.
