BYD tyre-pressure warning and reset: UK owner checks
Check a BYD tyre-pressure warning safely, learn why there is no universal reset sequence and find the correct UK model guide.

- Park safely and inspect every tyre for obvious deflation, a nail, cut, bulge, damaged valve or exposed cord.
- Let the tyres cool before measuring them. Use the pressure label fitted to the exact vehicle or its owner manual—not the maximum moulded into the tyre sidewall and not a number copied from another model.
- Measure all four tyres with one reliable gauge and correct them for the vehicle and load.
- Follow the exact manual for any required drive or refresh procedure, then check the display again.
- Record which tyre loses pressure or which sensor reading remains absent.
Is there a BYD tyre-pressure reset button?
There is no single reset sequence that is safe to publish for every BYD model, model year and software version. Some cars refresh the displayed pressure after the tyres are corrected and the vehicle is driven; menu wording and monitoring behaviour can differ. Never use a menu reset to hide continuing pressure loss.
Safe checks before trying to clear the warning
• Park safely and inspect every tyre for obvious deflation, a nail, cut, bulge, damaged valve or exposed cord. • Let the tyres cool before measuring them. Use the pressure label fitted to the exact vehicle or its owner manual—not the maximum moulded into the tyre sidewall and not a number copied from another model. • Measure all four tyres with one reliable gauge and correct them for the vehicle and load. • Follow the exact manual for any required drive or refresh procedure, then check the display again. • Record which tyre loses pressure or which sensor reading remains absent.
Choose the correct BYD model guide
Use the seven model links immediately above these questions. ATTO 3 and ATTO 3 EVO are separate vehicles, as are DOLPHIN and DOLPHIN SURF. Choose your exact car and use its handbook and pressure specification. A warning guide for one model is not a shared reset sequence or pressure target for another.
What the result means
• The warning clears and pressures remain stable: continue monitoring them routinely. • One tyre drops again: treat it as a likely slow leak and arrange inspection. • Pressures are correct but one reading is absent: the sensor or TPMS may require diagnosis. • The warning flashes, returns immediately or follows wheel work: preserve the exact behaviour and ask a tyre specialist or authorised BYD service route to check the monitoring system. • The tyre is damaged or handling is unstable: stop driving and obtain assistance.
Why cold pressure matters
Tyre pressure rises as the tyre warms during driving. Comparing a warm reading with a cold specification can produce the wrong adjustment. Check the vehicle label for the correct cold specification and any different loaded-vehicle requirement.
