ATTO 3 EVO tyre-pressure warning: what to check

For a low-pressure warning on your ATTO 3 EVO, check all four tyres with a gauge while they are cold and adjust them to the pressure specified for your car and load. Then check whether the dashboard reading returns to normal; a missing reading or a monitoring-system message needs a different check.

  1. Park and inspect the tyres for a puncture, cut, bulge, damaged valve or obvious deflation. Safety note: a flat, damaged or fast-leaking tyre can affect handling and suffer further damage if driven, so stop smoothly and arrange tyre assistance or recovery; avoid sharp steering or abrupt braking.
  2. Find the cold-pressure label inside the driver's door frame.
  3. Measure all four tyres with a reliable gauge after the car has stood for at least three hours.
  4. Adjust the pressures to the specified figures for your car and load.
  5. Check the dashboard again after its next update; if you make a normal journey with correctly inflated, undamaged tyres, check again afterwards.

What the warning means

A yellow pressure value calls for a slow-leak check and correction to the specified pressure. A flashing-then-steady warning with “Abnormal signal” or a monitoring-system message needs a sensor or signal check.

The dashboard updates at intervals, so an old or missing reading can lag a sudden loss. Use a gauge to check the actual pressure.

If that did not work

  • One tyre loses pressure again: ask a tyre fitter to check for a puncture, valve leak or an airtightness problem.
  • Pressures are correct but a reading is missing, fixed or implausible: ask a BYD dealer or service provider to check the sensor and monitoring system.
  • The warning started after tyre, wheel or sensor work: tell the fitter what changed and ask BYD service to check the matching for the affected wheel positions.

What to note down for support: the affected wheel, measured and displayed pressures, exact message, whether the light flashed first and any recent tyre or wheel work. Temperature changes can affect pressures, but do not explain a large difference between tyres. Leave embedded objects in place for the fitter. Use roadside assistance for severe vibration or an unsafe location.
