BYD CarPlay or Bluetooth audio stops after a phone call

Check where the sound is going

1. Park safely before using either screen.
2. End the call on the phone and confirm no call, voice assistant or voice-message session remains active.
3. Open the phone audio-output control and choose the intended BYD, CarPlay or Android Auto connection rather than the phone speaker, earbuds or another Bluetooth device.
4. On the vehicle display, return to the intended media source and raise media volume; call volume and media volume may be stored separately.

Rebuild the session without deleting everything

Close and reopen the affected music or navigation app, then disconnect and reconnect phone projection using its normal control. If the connection remains stuck, restart the phone and the infotainment display only through their ordinary controls while parked. Do not disconnect the 12V battery or factory-reset the vehicle as a first step.

If it happens repeatedly

1. Record the exact BYD model, model year and full vehicle software version.
2. Record the phone model, iOS or Android version, connection method and affected app.
3. Note whether ordinary Bluetooth calls work, whether wired projection behaves differently from wireless projection and whether another compatible phone reproduces the symptom.
4. Remove the phone from the vehicle and the vehicle from the phone, then create one clean pairing only after preserving the evidence.

When to contact support

If the same failure returns after calls with more than one supported phone, or started immediately after an OTA update, report the full sequence through the BYD app or an authorised repairer. A precise timeline is more useful than saying only that Bluetooth is broken. Do not troubleshoot screens while driving.
