Availability depends on the exact repair
Routine maintenance, body repair, glass and specialist electronic or drivetrain work use different supply routes. A general claim that parts are either “easy” or “difficult” to obtain is not useful enough for an owner.
Ask these questions before booking
- Is the workshop authorised and equipped for this exact work?
- Is the required part physically in UK stock?
- Is the quoted date confirmed or estimated?
- Could diagnosis reveal additional parts?
- What mobility support applies while the vehicle is unavailable?
For insurance repairs
Ask whether the repairer can work on the vehicle’s high-voltage structure and driver-assistance sensors, and whether calibration is included. Keep the insurer, repairer and supplying dealer aligned on the approved scope.
Warranty and third-party parts
Check the current official warranty policy for the vehicle and repair. A third-party accessory or part listing is not proof of compatibility or warranty acceptance.
