Step-by-step comparison

1. Record whether the session is AC or DC, the starting battery percentage and the charger rating.
2. Note outside temperature and whether heating or air conditioning is operating.
3. Check the vehicle and charger for warnings before judging only the displayed power.
4. Observe whether power reduces mainly at a high battery percentage or close to the target.
5. Compare with another normal session at a similar charger and lower starting percentage.

What the result means

• Power reduces near the charge target: normal battery protection or equalisation may be extending the final part.
• Power fluctuates while fans or compressor run: battery temperature control may be working.
• Cold conditions increase time: battery heating and charger output can limit accepted power.
• The same DOLPHIN is consistently slow at several suitable chargers: preserve the evidence for diagnosis.

Improve the evidence, not the risk

Do not repeatedly disconnect a healthy session solely to chase a peak figure. Save timestamps, battery percentages, charger identity, displayed power, temperature and complete vehicle-software version. Stop for heat, damage, arcing, smell or a persistent warning and contact the operator or BYD assistance as appropriate.
