Navigation and charging-route changes
- The map can display estimated remaining battery charge at the destination.
- Charging-route planning is enabled by default where the supported navigation service is available.
- A navigation floating window is added for supported journeys.
Treat arrival charge as an estimate, not a guaranteed reserve. Weather, speed, gradients, traffic, heating and route changes can alter consumption. Keep a safe charging margin.
Driver Monitoring System shortcut
The quick-control behaviour changes. Instead of opening the Driver Monitoring System settings page, a press controls the main DMS switch. The control is highlighted when enabled and greyed when disabled. Switching it off requires confirmation.
Driver-monitoring and assistance systems do not replace attentive driving. Do not change these controls while moving; use only settings legally and safely available for the journey.
Interface refinements
BYD also lists system-interface and text-prompt improvements intended to make controls and guidance clearer. Exact wording can differ with language and market.
Step by step: prepare for an offered update
- Park safely and leave enough time for the car to remain unavailable throughout the installation.
- Read the update prompt on your own vehicle. Check the release and model against this guide; another owner's notification does not establish availability for your car.
- Read and meet the battery, connection and other requirements shown by the vehicle and its exact owner manual before starting. Do not substitute a battery percentage quoted for another model.
- Record important preferences where practical, then follow the vehicle's installation prompts only when you are ready to leave the car unused.
- Wait for the vehicle to report completion. Do not interrupt the installation unless the vehicle instructs you to.
Menu wording varies. For the fuller workflow, use our BYD OTA update guide alongside the official manual for your vehicle. If no update is offered, do not install an unofficial file to force this version.
Step by step: check the result
- After the car reports completion, record the complete software version shown on its version screen.
- Check phone pairing and your preferred settings while parked.
- Test the changed controls described in the vehicle's release notes while stationary. Availability can differ from the examples in this guide.
Expected result: the vehicle reports a completed installation and its normal controls are available. That does not guarantee every feature listed for another vehicle.
If it fails: keep the full version and exact error wording for authorised BYD support. Persistent warnings or failed installation messages need authorised assistance; do not keep forcing installation attempts. Assistance-system updates do not remove the driver's responsibility.
For this ATTO 2 release, include navigation and DMS preferences in the stationary post-update checks described above.
