OWNER ANSWER
BYD servicing and spare parts in the UK: owner checklist
Use BYD’s authorised service route to book maintenance or identify a replacement part for your exact car. For a delayed repair, ask which stage it has reached: diagnosis, part identification, order, backorder or booked fitting.

- Give the authorised repairer your exact model and the symptom or required maintenance. Safety note: An unsafe braking, steering or high-voltage fault needs assistance. Arrange recovery instead of driving to a repairer just to obtain a parts quote.
- Ask for the diagnosis and part description or reference where available.
- Confirm whether the part is available, ordered or on backorder.
- Ask for the order date and either a confirmed arrival date or the next update date.
- Request the labour estimate, warranty approval and any calibration or programming included.
- Approve additional work before it starts and keep the repair record.
Why a part estimate can change
Availability depends on the particular part and car. A diagnosis appointment, an order placed and a confirmed delivery are different milestones; ask which one the quoted date describes.
Servicing
Use the time-and-mileage schedule for your own model and edition. Ask which quote items are fixed and which still depend on inspection.
If that did not work
For a stalled case, contact BYD Customer Service with the repairer’s case number, timeline and the missing next step. Ask when the provider will update you if it cannot confirm delivery; discuss transport needs separately rather than assuming a courtesy car is included.
What to note down for support: A dated timeline, part reference, order status and agreed next update are useful for a delayed repair.
