CPD indicator/warning light*
What it means
A steady child-presence-detection symbol can accompany either an OFF reminder or a fault reminder lasting five seconds. The accompanying text distinguishes them.
What to do
Check whether the message says OFF or fault. For a CPD fault, BYD recommends authorised inspection. The OFF state means the detection function has been disabled; never use it as proof that nobody remains in the vehicle.
