BYD SEAL servicing: how to check the official schedule
Book SEAL maintenance by time or mileage, whichever comes first in your car’s service table. The original SEAL EN-250305 handbook includes brake, steering and suspension checks at 20,000 miles or 24 months; use the complete table and service history to identify the work due.
- Match the handbook to your SEAL’s generation and model year.
- Check the maintenance table against both mileage and elapsed time.
- Tell the service provider the current mileage and previous service dates.
- Describe heavy-use conditions and any warning or change in driving feel. Safety note: A brake, steering, suspension or high-voltage fault can affect safe driving. Follow its warning and arrange assistance where needed rather than waiting for the next scheduled service.
- Ask for the VIN-specific work due and an itemised quote.
- Keep the completed service record.
Key items in this original-SEAL table
At 24 months or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first, the table includes brakes, steering, suspension, tyre condition/TPMS, coolant-level and high-voltage battery-tray checks. Brake fluid is replaced every 24 months or 20,000 miles. Drive-motor coolant is replaced every six years or 60,000 miles. Transmission oil and filter are first replaced at 24 months or 20,000 miles, then every 24 months or 30,000 miles. These are the cited original-car intervals; confirm the matching service document before booking.
Which table is this?
The cited original-SEAL example is on PDF pages 171–173, printed 170–172. It contains several maintenance items and intervals; the 20,000-mile/24-month checks are not a replacement for the full table. Usage conditions may mean earlier attention.
