DOLPHIN SURF pressure washing: areas to protect

Before washing

1. Disconnect all charging equipment and refit the charging cap and close the flap.
2. Close every window, door and tailgate and check seals for damage.
3. Turn off automatic wipers and keep the key away from accidental operation.
4. Let hot brakes and components cool naturally before applying cold water.
5. Inspect for loose trim, damaged paint or cracked lamp and camera covers.

Using pressure safely

Use a broad spray at the manual-specified distance. Keep concentrated jets away from charge-port edges and contacts, cameras, sensors, door and glass seals, tyres at close range, underbody damage and electrical connectors. Never wash the charging inlet while it is open or connected.

After washing

Dry the charge-port area before opening it, clear camera lenses gently and restore the wipers only after leaving the wash area. Test brakes carefully at low speed. Water inside a lamp, charge-port damage, persistent sensor warnings or water entering the cabin requires inspection rather than more pressure washing.

If a warning appears afterwards

Photograph the exact message and identify which camera, sensor, lamp or opening is affected. Allow ordinary surface moisture to dry, but do not dismiss a warning that persists in dry conditions or follows water entry.
