OWNER ANSWER
DOLPHIN SURF parking camera is blank or unclear
For a blank or blurred DOLPHIN SURF camera view, park, check the accessible lenses and let the infotainment system finish starting. Then compare the fitted views individually so you can identify which one is affected.

- Park before opening camera controls. Safety note: A black, frozen or distorted picture can hide an obstacle, so use direct observation and mirrors and stop the manoeuvre if the path is unclear. Keep high-pressure jets and adjustment tools away from the lenses to avoid damage.
- Check that doors and the tailgate are closed and mirrors are normally extended.
- Inspect accessible fitted camera lenses for water, dirt, snow, ice or visible damage.
- Clean accessible lenses gently with suitable vehicle-care materials.
- Let the infotainment system complete its normal start-up.
- Select each fitted view separately and compare it with the stitched picture while stationary.
What the result tells you
The handbook describes a delayed or flashing panoramic image before multimedia start-up completes. The transparent underbody view can initially contain an image from before the previous power-off and its alignment can vary; check the surroundings by other means.
If that did not work
If cleaning and normal start-up do not restore the view, ask a BYD repairer to inspect the affected camera, connection and alignment. Mention any mirror, bumper, tailgate or body work, impact or accompanying electrical warning. Persistent flicker, changed alignment and repeated unavailability need that check.
What to note down if you need support: affected view, complete message, software version, recent body work and a parked photograph of a persistent fault.
