Before using sealant
- Stop in the safest available place and protect occupants from traffic.
- Inspect from a safe position; do not remove an embedded object unless the manual directs it.
- Check the sealant expiry date and follow the inflator labels and exact DOLPHIN manual.
- Call assistance if the damage is unsuitable or the tyre will not reach the manual minimum pressure.
After a temporary repair
Observe the handbook speed limit, avoid hard acceleration and sharp turns, and stop immediately for vibration, instability, noise or falling pressure.
Tell the repairer
Drive only the permitted short distance to professional help and tell the technician that sealant was used. Replace the sealant container after use.
Step-by-step puncture decision
- Stop away from traffic, select Park, use hazard lights and keep occupants in a safe place.
- Inspect from outside for a cut, bulge, damaged rim or object in the tyre; do not remove an embedded object.
- Check the exact model kit instructions, sealant expiry date and compressor condition.
- Use sealant only when the handbook says the puncture location and damage are suitable.
- After temporary inflation, follow the stated speed, distance and pressure-recheck limits exactly.
Do not use the kit when
- the sidewall, shoulder or rim is damaged;
- the tyre has come off the rim or is badly shredded;
- the sealant or hose is damaged or expired; or
- safe roadside working space is unavailable.
After a temporary repair
A sealant repair is not permanent. Arrange professional tyre inspection promptly and tell the technician that sealant was used. If pressure will not hold or vibration develops, stop and request recovery.
