At the roadside
- Move occupants to safety and use hazards where appropriate.
- Tell assistance that the vehicle is a fully electric BYD DOLPHIN.
- Report collision damage, flooding, smoke, heat, hissing or a high-voltage warning immediately.
- Photograph warnings and note whether the car selects Neutral, releases the parking brake or steers normally.
- Keep people away from damaged orange cables and the underside of a crashed vehicle.
Before loading
Give the operator the exact model and manual. Flatbed transport is the safe default when the permitted wheel-lift arrangement is uncertain. Use only designated recovery and tie-down points; a towing eye is not permission to tow the vehicle on its driven wheels at road speed.
Do not improvise
Do not crawl underneath, disconnect high-voltage parts, drag a locked wheel or rely on another BYD model instruction. After collision, immersion or battery warning, the destination must be able to assess an EV safely.
What the operator needs
Give the DOLPHIN registration, exact trim, warning messages, wheel condition and whether steering, Neutral and parking-brake release respond. Ask the operator to confirm the manual-approved loading method before moving it.
