BYD ATTO 3 EVO battery preheating before rapid charging
If your ATTO 3 EVO has Charge Preheating, open Energy → Charging and Discharging and switch battery preheating on before a cold-weather DC stop. It warms the battery to help shorten charging time; cabin heating is a separate function.

- Before connecting, open the infotainment vehicle settings.
- Go to Energy → Charging and Discharging.
- Enable the fitted battery-preheating control.
- Continue to your planned charger with enough charge for the journey.
- Connect and start the DC session normally.
When does it stop?
The EVO RHD handbook says preheating is disabled by default, switches off automatically when the battery reaches its appropriate temperature and needs turning on again next time. It cannot be used during charging. The setting is marked as equipment-dependent.
If that did not work
If the control is missing, ask BYD to check whether your EVO’s equipment/software supports it. If it is fitted but charging remains unusually slow across suitable points, ask for a temperature-management and charging-fault check.
What to note down for support: For support, give the exact EVO version, whether the setting appeared and the starting charge and charger used.
