Use the equipment supplied with your exact ATTO 3 EVO. The temporary kit and its limits may differ from an older ATTO 3 kit.
Make the scene safe
- Ease off the accelerator and avoid sudden steering or braking.
- Stop away from moving traffic where possible, select Park, apply the parking brake and switch on the hazard lights.
- Move occupants to a safe place in accordance with the road conditions.
- Inspect the tyre from outside. Do not remove a nail or screw and do not crawl beneath the vehicle.
Using the temporary kit
- Find the ATTO 3 EVO kit and read its label, expiry date and complete sealant/compressor instructions.
- Use it only for damage and tyre positions permitted by the current owner manual.
- Follow the specified pressure check, maximum speed and maximum distance.
- Arrange professional tyre inspection promptly and tell the technician that sealant was used.
Request recovery instead when
- The sidewall, shoulder, wheel or valve is damaged.
- The tyre is shredded, displaced from the rim or will not hold pressure.
- More than one tyre is affected, the kit is missing or expired, or there is no safe working space.
A temporary seal is not a permanent repair. Stop again if pressure falls, vibration develops or the warning returns. Use a flatbed or the recovery method specified for the ATTO 3 EVO.
