ATTO 3 EVO long-term parking: battery and security checklist

Before storing your ATTO 3 EVO, prepare its traction battery for the time away and arrange someone to check it if needed. For more than seven days, the handbook recommends 40–60% traction-battery charge. For storage beyond three months, it specifies fully charging and returning to 40–60% every three months.

BYD ATTO 3 EVO long-term parking and battery care
  1. Choose secure suitable parking with ventilation and access for assistance.
  2. Prepare the battery using the storage guidance above. Safety note: Faulty brakes, steering, tyres or a high-voltage warning need assistance before driving. Battery disconnection and improvised maintainers can damage systems or compromise security; arrange that work through BYD.
  3. Measure tyre pressures cold and inspect for damage or slow loss.
  4. Remove food, valuables and unnecessary socket-powered accessories.
  5. Cancel unneeded climate or departure routines and use the agreed storage charging plan.
  6. Close openings, lock normally and store both keys securely away from the car.

General storage and battery care are separate

The general storage section also discusses parking arrangements and low-voltage disconnection. Ask BYD to agree any electrical or parking changes for your exact car rather than improvising them.

Returning to use

Inspect tyres, brakes, underside, charge port and the ground for leaks. Start normally and read warnings before selecting Drive. With normal brakes/steering, sound tyres and no unresolved warning, check controls gently in a clear area before an ordinary journey. A stale app status is not a substitute for checking the vehicle.

If that did not work

For a dark or unresponsive car, use the model’s wake-up guide and assistance. For a storage-related fault, ask BYD to assess low-voltage supply/charging and the affected tyre or brake condition.

What to note down for support: Only if assistance is needed: storage duration, last known battery level, trim, charging arrangement and the current response pattern.
