ATTO 3 EVO long-term parking: battery and security checklist

ATTO 3 EVO guidance: Use the storage instructions and charge range in the current EVO owner manual. Do not assume that an original ATTO 3 recommendation applies unchanged, and do not automatically leave the traction battery at 100%.

Before leaving the vehicle

1. Choose a secure, dry and ventilated place with safe access if assistance is later required.
2. Remove food, valuables and equipment that may continue drawing power from a vehicle socket.
3. Set the traction battery within the storage range stated in the current ATTO 3 EVO manual.
4. Check all tyre pressures cold and inspect for damage or a slow puncture.
5. Turn off unnecessary charging schedules, repeated remote-climate routines and accessories.
6. Close every opening, lock normally and store both authorised keys securely away from the vehicle.

During longer storage

1. Check the vehicle at the interval stated by BYD.
2. Remember that the traction battery and low-voltage system are separate; seeing an app status does not prove that both are healthy.
3. Do not leave an unsuitable charger, extension lead or improvised battery maintainer connected.

Returning to use

1. Inspect beneath and around the car, including the tyres, charge port and brakes.
2. Power up normally and read every warning before selecting a drive mode.
3. Make the first brake application carefully because surface corrosion can briefly change brake feel.

If the car is unresponsive, use ATTO 3 EVO-specific roadside guidance rather than improvising a jump start.
