ATTO 2 wiper service position and blade care
To lift the ATTO 2 wipers, use the matching wiper-maintenance control and wait until both arms have stopped in the service position. Turn automatic wiping off first and support each arm as you lift it.

- Park, select P and keep the bonnet closed. Safety note: An unsupported arm can spring against and break the glass; hold it securely and lower it gently. Stay stopped if the screen cannot be kept clear, and free frozen blades before operation to avoid damage.
- Switch off rain-sensing or automatic wiping.
- Clear ice and snow with a suitable scraper and free any frozen blade before operating the wipers.
- Open the handbook wiper-maintenance control: Service → Overhaul.
- Wait for movement to finish.
- Hold the upper arm securely before lifting it.
- Refit the correct blade and lower the arms gently.
- Exit maintenance mode using the matching instructions.
- Test from inside the stationary car with wet glass or washer fluid.
What the result tells you
Maintenance mode gives access for blade care; it is not a reset for a failed motor. Streaking, chatter, damaged rubber, an arm that hits trim or parks incorrectly, or a loose arm needs inspection.
If that did not work
If the menu is absent, clearance is abnormal or the wipers still fail, ask BYD to check the matching maintenance control, arm parking and motor operation. Keep the bonnet closed while an arm is raised and place no tools on the glass.
What to note down if you need support: exact menu label, vehicle software, whether the arms move or park and the observed symptom.
