The range number on a ATTO 2 is a planning estimate, not a promise that the car will travel exactly that distance. The useful question is not “is this number good?” but “is it consistent with this car, this journey and these conditions?”

- Record miles travelled, outside temperature and the main road type.
- Record the ending percentage and the car’s displayed consumption.
- Repeat on two or three broadly comparable journeys rather than judging one trip.

Why the estimate can move sharply
- Cold weather: the battery and cabin need heat, while short journeys give the system little time to settle.
- Motorway speed: aerodynamic demand rises quickly, especially in headwinds or rain.
- Cabin settings: heating, cooling, demisting and heated equipment consume energy.
- Load and tyres: passengers, luggage, roof equipment and incorrect pressure can increase consumption.
- Recent driving: the displayed estimate can reflect what the car has recently experienced rather than a fixed laboratory figure.
When to investigate
Arrange a professional check when a large change persists across comparable journeys, the battery percentage behaves abnormally, charging ends unexpectedly, a warning appears, or the car’s usable distance changes suddenly without an obvious condition change. A website cannot diagnose battery health from the range display alone.
