What to record and check when a SEALION 7 develops repeatable vibration at road speed.

Stop first for danger signs

Reduce speed smoothly and stop somewhere safe for a severe or sudden vibration, steering change, tyre warning, impact damage, bulge, rapid pressure loss or abnormal noise. Do not continue a test merely to reproduce it.

Record the conditions

  1. Note the speed band, road surface, acceleration or braking state and outside temperature.
  2. Check cold tyre pressures against the label on the exact vehicle.
  3. Inspect the visible tyre tread, sidewalls and wheels for damage or trapped material.
  4. Record recent tyre replacement, wheel removal, kerb impact or pothole contact.

Avoid speculative fixes

Do not copy another model’s pressure, add balancing weights, alter alignment or continue driving on a damaged tyre. Driver-assistance vibration through the steering wheel should also be distinguished from a continuous mechanical shake.

Arrange a measured inspection

Ask a qualified tyre service or authorised BYD repairer to reproduce the condition and check tyres, wheels, balance, alignment and relevant suspension or drivetrain components. Provide the speed and road-condition record. Persistent vibration should not be dismissed without inspection.
