A missed schedule is often a control conflict rather than a failed charger. The car, BYD app, wallbox and energy supplier can each try to decide when charging begins.
Use one scheduler while testing
- End any active charging session and park safely.
- Record the schedule in the car, official app, wallbox app and smart-tariff app.
- Temporarily disable every schedule except one.
- Confirm the connector is latched, the wallbox is ready and no target charge level has already been reached.
- Set a short test window while you can observe the car and charger.
- When it works, reintroduce only the one controller you intend to use long-term.
Check clocks and permissions
Confirm time zone, daylight-saving time, selected weekdays, account permissions and any tariff-controlled “smart” window. A charger can report ready while waiting for authorisation from another controller.
Stop and escalate
Stop for heat, damage, water ingress, smell, smoke or arcing. Contact the charger operator for charger faults and BYD or roadside support for persistent vehicle warnings.
