Step 1: check the SEALION 7 cameras
- Stop and select Park before using camera menus.
- Record the exact warning and select front, rear, left and right views separately.
- Confirm the mirrors are deployed and doors and tailgate are fully closed.
- Inspect the front, rear and mirror-mounted camera areas for water, dirt, ice or impact marks.
- Clean carefully with normal vehicle-care materials; do not realign a camera.
Step 2: test after shutdown
- Let the vehicle complete a normal shutdown and restart it while stationary.
- Check each view again in a clear open space.
- Compare straight bay markings across the stitched panels.
Interpret the display
- Blur disappears after cleaning: lens contamination was likely.
- A single sector stays dark: record which physical camera corresponds to it.
- Panels do not align: calibration may be wrong, often requiring inspection after body or mirror work.
- All views fail with another warning: record both messages and the complete software version.
Until it is repaired
Allow extra space and use a spotter where necessary; never use a distorted image to judge a close obstacle. Recurrent black, frozen or misaligned views, visible camera damage or failure after repair needs authorised diagnosis rather than a settings reset.
