ATTO 2 headlight condensation or water: what to check

First identify the pattern. A thin temporary mist can behave differently from distinct droplets, pooling water, a damaged housing or an electrical lamp fault.

Check the ATTO 2 lamp

1. Park safely and photograph the affected lamp before changing settings.
2. Look for a light internal haze, separate droplets, a water line, pooled water, cracks or a displaced cover.
3. Compare both lamps after rain, washing and a normal dry drive with the lights operating.
4. Watch whether light mist reduces as the lamp warms and its ventilation works.
5. Test every light function and check the dashboard for a warning.
6. Record recent washing, impact, body repair or lamp work and how long the moisture takes to clear.

What the result suggests

• Light mist clears: continue observing without opening the lamp.
• Droplets remain or water pools: the seal, vent or housing needs inspection.
• The output is dim, flickering or failed: do not rely on that lamp for night driving.
• Cracks or impact damage are visible: reduce further water exposure and arrange repair.

Do not drill, heat, dismantle or reseal the housing yourself; that can trap moisture or damage electronics. Persistent water, electrical warnings or reduced visibility require qualified inspection.
