Can an ATTO 2 use an automatic car wash?

ATTO 2 guidance: Automatic washes work differently. Before entering, ask whether the vehicle remains stationary or must roll freely on a conveyor, then follow the current ATTO 2 manual for that exact wash type.

Before entering the wash

1. Remove all charging equipment and close the charge-port cap and door.
2. Close every window, door, the bonnet, tailgate and any panoramic-roof opening.
3. Turn off automatic wipers.
4. Make sure the powered tailgate or remote controls cannot be activated accidentally.
5. Fold the mirrors only when the operator requires it and the owner manual permits it.

For a conveyor wash

1. Listen to the operator’s instructions before positioning the wheels.
2. Use the exact ATTO 2 procedure for Neutral, brake release and Auto Hold. Do not copy another BYD model’s sequence.
3. Keep the authorised key with you and remain ready to brake when instructed.
4. Do not open a door or change drive mode while the conveyor is moving unless the operator directs you in an emergency.

After leaving

1. Restore the wipers, mirrors and normal drive settings only after clearing the equipment.
2. At low speed, apply the brakes gently to confirm normal response; wet discs can briefly feel different.
3. Check cameras, sensors, seals and the charge-port area for water or residue.

Avoid the wash if the vehicle has loose trim, cracked glass, a damaged flap, uncured body repair or a warning that prevents the required rolling mode. Never direct a pressure jet closely at charging contacts, seals, cameras or damaged paint.
