Original ATTO 3 Design: identify the correct specification

This page covers the original UK-market ATTO 3 Design sold before the newer ATTO 3 EVO. Registration year alone is not enough to confirm every figure: BYD specification material changed during the 2023–25 period, so check the build date, trim and documents supplied with the vehicle.

Important source difference: earlier UK material described up to 260 miles and 88 kW DC charging, while BYD's January 2025 UK specification PDF lists 261 miles combined WLTP and 110 kW maximum DC charging. Do not assume the later charging figure applies to every earlier car.

  • DC 10–80%: 35 minutes
  • DC 30–80%: 28 minutes
  • Connector: CCS2

Charging speed and time depend on battery temperature, charger capability, state of charge and ambient conditions. A peak rating is not the speed the car will hold throughout a session.

What Design adds over Comfort in this source

The January 2025 UK sheet records equipment differences including an electric tailgate, ventilated front seats, a 15.6-inch electrically rotating touchscreen and additional multi-colour ambient-lighting treatment. Equipment can still vary with production date and market updates.

Owner checks before relying on a figure

  1. Confirm the car is the original ATTO 3, not ATTO 3 EVO.
  2. Check whether the trim is Comfort or Design.
  3. Compare the vehicle documents and charging behaviour with the dated specification source.
  4. Ask a BYD retailer to confirm VIN-specific equipment where the source versions disagree.
